ANSWER

How a Manager Fulfils Planning, Leading, Organizing, And Controlling

Managers are usually leaders, coordinators, team developers, and motivators. In every organization, there is a manager who helps run the organization in the absence of business owners and top management personnel. In my previous company, the manager controlled and guided employees and resources, and planned, led, and organized various aspects of the workplace.

First, the manager drew up a target for sales through estimates, which were to be achieved bi-annually. The plan considered current and past sales to forecast future sales, which were expected to be more than the previous. By doing this, the manager fulfilled his role in planning.

Consequently, the manager would look at the quotas of each employee to ensure they meet the set goals and ensure there are supplemental efforts to exceed the expectations. He would use feedback controls within the organization to monitor these quotas. Any action in the workplace would be recorded, for instance, all meetings attended would be recorded, and members present would sign a form, which the manager would use in quality control. Control serves to help the organization check any errors or insufficiencies to put the right actions for correction (Bedenik, 2015). Both feedback and quality control and part of the controlling and organizing roles of management.

As a manager, there is a need to serve as an example to the employees. Our manager used to motivate us by believing in each of us and our strengths and giving credit where it was due. Furthermore, he ensured he gave feedback on the observations weekly, which shows his leadership roles.

In the four roles of the managerial process, the most important activity for a manager is leadership since it is the root of all other activities. If a manager can be a leader and exemplary to the employees, they can be motivated to achieve their set targets, increase performance, and ease the management process by being cooperative. According to Akbari et al. (2017), it may be challenging to address internal organizational issues without leadership.
