ANSWER
Sustainability and Social Responsibility
Around the globe, there is an outcry for corporate social responsibility. Corporate Social Responsibility refers to a business’ act of being involved in the activities of the community and bearing the moral obligation of improving the society’s life and development. I believe that every company is morally obligated to foster the development of the society it conducts its operations in. A company’s positive impact in the society is beneficial to its marketability and acceptability by the community. Apple Inc., the giant American smartphone company, has taken up the challenge quite well, putting up programs and initiatives that focus on social responsibility. Some of the programs that the corporation has adopted are offering support to the local community by conducting volunteer work, proper waste management initiatives in the environments it operates in, and minority and gender consideration during employee recruitment. This responsibility has, in turn, enhanced the company’s popularity and trust by the customers. Apple enjoys customer trust and loyalty on a level that other business envy.
