The points I chose were the obvious ones. Yes technology helps the small business compete with the big companies. Not in the standard brick and mortar way but it allows them to get their name and products out to a wide range of people. The next is how technology has help many businesses become more efficient. Before companies would spend hours balancing the register receipts and doing inventory checks, comparisons and ordering. Now the registers do the inventory and ordering for them. Technology has pushed us to move forward in a rapid pace that for some is hard to sustain. However for many businesses it is a great way to get things done quickly, efficiently and reduces loss in time, product and money.
ANSWER
I do agree with your responses on technology’s impact on the society. However, I would want to know whether you think technology has only benefited small businesses or whether you believe that the benefits it brings cut across businesses of all sizes. I am also interested in knowing whether the adoption of technology to perform tasks previously performed by human employees is flawless and whether it has resulted in any negative impact. Do you think that the cost vs benefit analysis for adopting technology in a small business would show a profit or loss for the business?
