Directions:
The final assignment for the semester is to construct an informative product How to live to be 100 (years old). This can be a pamphlet, story board, PPT, poster board, etc. I will accept any form of media design, appropriate for the assignment. Be creative, use images, use video, sound, etc. I want you to have fun with this, being as creative as you choose to be. If you are unsure of your idea, email me for approval.
You are to utilize information that you learned throughout the course within chapter readings and in-class discussion (if face2face), but need to put it into your own words and/or bullet-style. Do not copy and paste from the readings. You are to share specific items and follow with supporting material regarding each item. Ie: “Healthy behavior practices” (column) and across from that: “Why?”, and then provide supporting words/statement.
Imagine you are creating an instruction guide/prescription how to live to be 100 years old.
- Consider the whole person beginning with the 8 dimensions of wellness and how they are interrelated/react to one another.
- Include information pertaining to the 5 health-related components of fitness along with their healthy standards/guidelines to set as goals.
- Discuss proper nutrition goals/guidelines
- Physical activity guidelines
- The importance of rest and sleep advice with supporting material.
- Include general healthy habits to implement as well as unhealthy habits to avoid and support it with reinforcing evidence. (minimum of 3).
- Length: Two to three– sided pamphlet PPTs- minimum 5 slides, video with illustrations min. 3 minutes, poster board/ presentation board photos. Make sure your presentation if marked Public, so that I can open your submission if appropriate.
