ANSWER
Discussion, Integration, and Reflection
The entire course has been quite interesting and highly informative. The weekly discussions have helped me improve my confidence when sharing my ideas and opinions. I have engaged in several discussions and contributed my thoughts and ideas on various issues such as the use of exercising pills. I have also been able to learn and improve my knowledge on various issues and topics such as the functions of various parts of the body (Rushworth, 2011) and the motor neuron disorder (Dion, Daoud, & Rouleau, 2009). A lot of new knowledge was acquired in the process of researching on topics, and issues such as neuron disorders and muscle functionality were very informative. The discussions with my peers and the assignments provided have been the most helpful activities in this course.
Through the discussions, I was able to conduct research using the internet and journal articles to find the information necessary to engage in the discussions. Conducting personal research and engaging in discussions have been my most preferred activities throughout the course. I increased my knowledge regarding the various benefits of exercising to the human body and the uses of the exercising pill, which is a boon for people who may be unable to move their muscles or exercise. Through the various case assignments and discussions, I have grown my knowledge of the human body. For every assignment, I conducted research and read different articles to improve my understanding of the assigned topics.
I have learned that the motor neuron disorder (MND) is a term that is used to refer to a number of illnesses that result in the brain and spinal nerves losing their functionality over time. MND is quite rare, and the illnesses classified in this group are forms of neurodegenerative illnesses. I also learned that motor neurons are the various nerve cells that are responsible for sending electrical messages to the muscles of the body, determining muscle functionality. Some of the concepts and activities that I found quite challenging were the cells and tissues assignment; the relationship between cells, tissues, and organs; and the relationship between hormones and stress. Even though I conducted some research to complete these activities and assignments, I need to conduct wider research and to do more reading to understand the various concepts that were learned during research.
I was able to identify the various hormones that cause stress in the human body. However, I need to conduct more research to understand the connecting between these hormones and stress. Overall, the course has been very informative and interesting to me. I think that I have accomplished a lot in terms of the knowledge that I have acquired on the functions of the body. I plan on reading ahead and conducting more research to increase my learning capability in the coming weeks. My plan is to conduct further research on the cells and tissues assignment and the connection between hormones and stress, to improve my understanding of these topics.
My feeling is that I have achieved the course outcomes, as I am committed to paying more attention to the syllabus and class instructions. I am also committed to meeting the assignment deadlines by submitting assignments on time. In the next week, I would like to learn more about the integumentary system and the various skin disorders and diseases. These topics seem interesting and informative to me.
