Mission and Context

The project will be an assessment of the healthcare needs of Navajo County residents and is expected to provide a compilation of all the findings of various research components. The project’s findings will go a long way in providing recommendations to local hospitals and healthcare providers on how best to meet the needs of the community.

Resources

The resources for this project will be the various instruments for the collection of the relevant data on the healthcare needs of the residents of the county. This will include a secondary statistical data profile of the county, a survey conducted via telephone with 200 community residents, key informant interviews with 100 stakeholders in the community, and a few focus group discussions with residents.

Activities

The healthcare needs assessment project will attempt to identify the various healthcare needs that are currently being met by the healthcare facilities in Navajo County and the needs that have not yet been met. The various resources will be used in the process of collection of relevant data.

Outputs

The project will result in the identification of the various areas that need improvement, and provision of recommendations to realize improvement and meet the identified unmet needs.

Results

The implementation of the provided recommendations will result in the improvement of healthcare provision in Navajo County and the improvement of the health of the residents.
